Fig Fruit Trees

One of the easiest fruit trees to grow

Figs really are a nearly perfect fruit—there are many varieties, each with a different flavor, from richly sweet to tasting faintly of honey; they're very easy to grow, thriving in both the ground and containers; and the common varieties are self-pollinating, so you only need one to get fruit. What more could you want? Well, there's more. Figs need very little care and their foliage is quite attractive. Their pruning requirements are minimal, and once the fruit is ripe (as soon as they're softening) it's great dried, in preserves, or eaten straight off the tree.
