Native to South Africa, Gazania (Treasure Flower) is one of the easiest and most brilliant flowering plants for the sunny garden and containers! Dark green foliage banks sturdy, daisy-shaped blooms that sport all colors, including stripes, rings, and washes. Orange, yellow, cream, red, and pink are particularly common in this family, and all of the blooms make great cut-flowers for the vase. Technically a tender perennial (hardy in zones 9-10), Gazania is grown as a summer-blooming annual everywhere.
