Abundant Blooms from Winter to Spring

This evergreen perennial stands up to heat, humidity, cold, and poor soil

Beautiful blooms of matte vermillion top this shade lover from the end of winter through the beginning of spring. A very free-flowering hellebore, Ice 'n Roses® Red is the ideal way to brighten the border and fill vases with long-lasting papery blooms.

This evergreen perennial thrives in partial to full shade, with dark green foliage that looks terrific year-round. Just a foot high and not much wider, it is well-branched and mounded, with numerous flowering stems. The blooms open in the dreary days of February or March and remain until the spring heat arrives.

Ice 'n Roses® Red is among the most floriferous hellebores you will ever grow, with handsome petals colored a rich but muted shade of dark red around a yellow center. The blooms nod on the plants, making them ideal for cutting. If they are left on the plant, they age to a lighter, more translucent shade that is lovely in its own right.

One of the easiest perennials to grow, hellebores are indifferent to environmental stresses from heat and humidity to poor soil and even drought. They are toxic, keeping diseases and pests at bay, and very hardy in almost any climate. Long-lived, they slowly spread into glorious colonies. And their ability to transform the late winter garden is unrivaled. Add Ice 'n Roses® Red to your shade border and woodland garden this season and begin enjoying the difference that year-round performance can bring.
