A Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrubs variety, Juniperus Montana Moss® Juniper is an evergreen ground cover offering year-round interest. Soft to the touch, moss-like foliage has an appealing texture and a refreshing blue-green tone. A tough, durable, low-growing plant, Montana Moss juniper makes a nice specimen but is shown to best effect massed or grouped in beds or foundation plantings.
Cold hardy and easy to grow, juniper grows best in sunny locations with average, medium moist, well-draining soil. But it tolerates hot, dry, sunny locations, including urban environments, and a wide variety of soils, including poor soils, but is intolerant of wet conditions. Montana Moss juniper is also salt tolerant and deer resistant. Prune to shape or control spread as needed.
