Magellan Zinnias
Wisconsin gardener from WI wrote on January 03, 2020

I have been growing Magellan zinnias in my urban garden in zone 5 for several years with great success. I start them from seed indoors in April and plant them in the ground at the end of May They are full, colorful, compact plants that bloom their hearts out until fall. My garden is filled with perennials but I plant annuals in every vacant space to bridge the gaps in bloom time. The end result is an informal but neat, robust and colorful garden.

Excellent flower
Linda B. from MA wrote on January 08, 2019

I planted various colors of the Magellan zinnias last summer that I had started from seed. I have a 24 foot flower bed in front of my house that I filled with these flowers. They bloomed all summer. You just have to deadhead them to keep them blooming, but not as often as a marigold plant. I received many compliments on them. People couldn't believe I started them from seed. I save a lot of money doing it this way. I finally pulled them out at the end of October because most of them had died at that point. There were still a few that were blooming that late in the year. I will definitely plant again this year.

Happy Little Zinnias
Anonymous from MD wrote on July 24, 2014

These happy little plants pack a punch when it comes to stunning blooms! I've had trouble with powdery mildew on my dwarf zinnias in the past, but these guys haven't shown a hint of a problem. I'll definitely be buying these again next year!
