Moonlit Periwinkle

Moonlit Periwinkle

Double Flowers and Creamy Edged Blooms!

With its double-flowered blooms and green-and-cream varigated foliage, Moonlit Periwinkle (Vinca minor 'Moonlit') adds a beautiful note to your woodland garden or border.

Beginning in early spring, the deep blue, inch to inch-and-a-half wide flowers open wide, filling the new season with soft color and twice the petal power of other Vincas. The foliage enhances this show, with creamy edges on the long, elegantly pointed leaves. So stylish and elegant -- a new look indeed for a familiar favorite!

Moonlit needs a moist, well-drained soil in partial shade in most zones, tolerating full sun only in the northernmost areas. This perennial ground cover grows to a height of about six inches and spreads from six to nine inches. It does well in even clay, sandy, or poor soils.

Moonlit Periwinkle is hardy from zones 4 to 9. It works well in beds, as a ground cover, or as a container planting.
