Description

Compact, upright, and slow to bolt

Sweet and crunchy and very attractive.

55-60 days. One of the most alluring red oakleafs we've seen, Navara is a glossy, ruffled, bicolor with heart-shaped leaves that are a rich, dark burgundy with a green base. Sweet and crunchy, it produces medium-size heads that are as attractive as they are tasty. In fact, some gardeners have even used them for bedding purposes because of their appealing coloration.

Navara is incredibly versatile and can be sown all year in greenhouses and outside for much of the year. It's suitable for summer or autumn production due to its resistance to downy mildew. It has also shown a good resistance to leaf aphid. Navara is compact and upright and is very slow to bolt. Pkt is 100 seeds.

My Favorite

zone 9b. Difficult to sprout until temps cool in Oct then very good germination. I'll harvest for 5 months (Nov-March, part of April) cutting the outside leaves. Pros are sweet, good texture, grows well, great color. My favorite and I plant more of this than other varieties. Delicious.

Greenhouse Lettuce

This lettuce survives the heat of the summer better than any of the others we have tried up to this point... and it looks and tastes great!

Beautiful and long lasting

This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

This is our new, favorite lettuce. The Park's description is very accurate. Taste and texture are great and it is slow to bolt which is good since we have too many beautiful, healthy plants to keep up with!
