Description

A blanket of bold colors

Unlike most blanket flower mixes, which tend to be brick-red shades tinged with yellow, this formula mix contains an outstanding blend of vibrant colors and distinctive patterns; burgundy, clear yellow, rosy-red with golden tips, and other red and gold bicolor patterns.

Painter's Palette blooms from June right up till frost on floriferous, long-lasting 30-inch plants. Widely adapted, they bloom strenuously the first year from seed. We sell only clean seed for extra-easy sowing.

Gaillardia is ultra-tolerant of poor conditions, including heat, drought, and poor soil—just plant it in full sun and forget it.

Just the right size for the border, it also makes a delightful edging or mass display in a sunny bed. Nothing but easy-care color from this super, long-lived perennial.

Easy to start from seed, gaillardia asks only full sun and reasonably well-drained soil. This is a great choice for those blazing-hot spots where little else will grow.

Easy Gaillardia to Grow From Seed

This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

First time I tried Gaillardia. Planted in 6-packs, germinated within 2 weeks. Set out in April and they bloomed a good 2 months, zone 9b Tampa until late June. Very heavy bloomer, no fertilization was needed even in sandy soil. No one had seen these before here, Painter's Palette are unique. Note: they do flop over so crowd them together about 12" apart and allow them to grow into a mass planting. Colors were as shown in picture and more.

Blooms First Year

This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

I did start these indoors around March. They are now outside and blooming. The colors are great and I will definitely purchase more for next year to fill some areas usually reserved for annuals.
