Description / Phlox 'Cleopatra'

Just as its namesake ruled the Nile, this 'Cleopatra' will reign supreme in your garden from summer until fall. This extravagant perennial dresses itself in clusters of sweetly fragrant star-shaped flowers that butterflies and hummingbirds find irresistible. Those rosy bloom heads which are ideal for arrangements look even more stunning accompanied by its verdant green foliage. Phlox is popular not just for its beauty but for its durability as well. This variety is generally disease free, tolerates dry soil and isn't harassed by deer or slugs. These easy-to-grow perennials are often the backbone of summer borders, although their striking, often fragrant flower clusters are equally gorgeous in open sunny areas. Cleopatra prefers morning sun and afternoon shade, though it does have a good tolerance for full sun. These vivid pink blooms will be the queen of your garden!

Not worth the price 5 people found this helpful

    Rating

I received a "bare root", which was the poorest specimen I have ever seen. This was in replacement for an empty bag the first time around. After many weeks, the plant is alive, but not even 2" tall. This was not an inexpensive plant! For the price, I could have searched out a local garden center and gotten a full grown plant.
