Description / Fragaria 'Eclair' Strawberry

The three most important traits Fragaria 'Eclair' Strawberry has to offer are flavor, flavor, and flavor. This June-bearer is exceptionally tasty, with experts detecting notes of raspberry and orange underlying the classic strawberry flavor. No one will ever mistake it for a store-bought berry—it delivers fantastic taste and succulent texture on a whole new level.

Reaching just 6 to 8 inches high but quick to spread 12 to 15 inches wide, Fragaria 'Eclair' Strawberry is robust and vigorous, thanks to superior disease resistance. If you have had trouble growing strawberries before, this is the one to try for big, healthy crops every time.

Harvest Fragaria 'Eclair's charming wedge-bottomed, large red fruit as soon as it ripens for freezing, or let it soften just a bit for canning and fresh eating. We think it will become your favorite strawberry in garden or container.

Your order will include 20 young bare root plant starts.

I just ordered another 20 as these are my favorite and the 2 rows I have are on their 3rd year so I always plant replacements on the 3rd year so I have a great flow. Been gardening 40 yrs and never have issues especially strawberries. I pulled out all my tricks to try and get these back alive but they are for sure toast. I'm truly disappointed but the other place I order from dont have these anymore so I had to come back and order more to keep my flow. These better not be dead mush when I get them like the last ones. Response from store

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review—and for your continued loyalty to these strawberries even after a disappointing shipment. We’re truly sorry the first set of plants didn’t arrive in good condition, especially given your decades of gardening experience and the care you put into your planting routine.

We’ve issued a refund for that first shipment and truly hope the second set arrives healthy and ready to thrive in your garden. A member of our team is also reaching out via email to follow up directly and ensure you're fully taken care of.

Thank you again for sticking with us—we want your strawberry flow to keep going strong!

So Far, So Good 3 people found this helpful

These strawberries arrived about 2 weeks ago. We got the roots in soil as soon as possible and have been watering them generously. They are all green and one even has a flower but barely has leaves. They seem to be doing great. We are in 9b (Sacramento, Ca).

I ordered these strawberry roots twice and both times they arrived black and molded. I really wanted to try growing strawberries but no luck so far. Still willing to try again.

Recently ordered the Eclair Strawberry. supposedly heat tolerant. The plant arrived soggy only two have survived all the rest melted out in the first week of potting. Seascape is doing much better.
