Phlox 'Popeye'

Phlox 'Popeye' is a stunning native perennial that grows 24 to 48 inches tall, producing showy clusters of white flowers with a pink eye. Blooming continuously from midsummer to early fall, these sweetly fragrant flowers are irresistible to hummingbirds, butterflies, and other pollinators. A variety of Phlox paniculata, commonly called garden phlox or tall phlox, 'Popeye' is a hardy perennial for Zones 4-8. This classic favorite adds vertical interest and vibrant color to perennial beds, borders, and butterfly gardens. Its easy-care nature makes it perfect for gardeners of all skill levels.

To keep 'Popeye' thriving, plant in a sunny to lightly shaded location with organically rich, moist, and well-drained soil. Plant 'Popeye' phlox roots in spring, spacing them 18 to 24 inches apart and planting them 1½ to 2 inches deep.
