A Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrubs variety, Rosa Oso Easy Ice Bay™ rose is a deciduous perennial shrub offering three seasons of interest. Long and continuously blooming, this rose sets clusters of silky, pure white flowers from early summer through late autumn, often to first frost. The flowers attract bees to the garden and make lovely bouquets or additions to floral arrangements.
Highly versatile and low-growing, Rosa Oso Easy Ice Bay has a compact, very upright branching habit of leathery, glossy, dark green foliage. A nice specimen plant, this rose makes a great filler in a container garden but is shown to best effect when massed or grouped in beds and borders and makes great edging.
Cold hardy to Zone 3, easy to grow and maintain, Rosa Oso Easy Ice Bay grows best in sunny locations with moist, well-draining soil. The plant is cold hardy and highly resistant to powdery mildew and black spot. It requires no deadheading nor any special pruning or spraying. Cutting it back by about one-half its total height in early spring to ensure that new growth comes from the bigger, healthier buds lower on the plant.
