Description

Bright blooms mature from ruby to fire-engine red

Fleuroselect Novelty Award winner 2008

Every garden deserves 'Rubenza' Cosmos. 'Rubenza' Cosmos is just so pretty, so eye-catching, so doggone easy to grow. Children can be successful with 'Rubenza' Cosmos as a first-ever gardening experience, busy gardeners can toss out the seed and be rewarded with months of blooms, and even experienced Cosmos lovers will be charmed by 'Rubenza' Cosmos color and vigor. Put 'Rubenza' Cosmos on the list—you'll be thanking yourself this summer.

The single blooms are neon-bright above fresh green foliage. They open a deep, satisfying shade of ruby red, then mature to fire-engine bright. You'll spot them from way down the street, and even a small planting will make a big impact. What is it about a bright red flower that is so satisfying? 'Rubenza' Cosmos is one you won't want to miss.

'Rubenza' Cosmos reaches 24 to 36 inches high and about 12 to 18 inches wide. 'Rubenza' Cosmos germinates super-quick, indoors or out, and grows quickly. Expect the blooms to begin in early summer and to continue in waves until frost. It's that simple—sun, well-drained soil, and water are all that 'Rubenza' Cosmos needs.

A butterfly magnet, 'Rubenza' Cosmos is a sheer pleasure for garden or container. The foliage is threadlike and ferny, adding a light-as-air look to the annual bed or flowerpot, and the blooms are quite long lasting. You just can't go wrong.

'Rubenza' Cosmos immediately won a Fleuroselect Novelty Award when it was introduced in Europe. Now you can grow it for yourself and appreciate why. Enjoy.

Doesn't do well in NC

This shopper rated the product 3 out of 5 stars

Compared to my favorite cosmic orange, it doesn't produce many flowers and last very long. The color is beautiful, but short and sweet.
