Finding ivy-leaf geranium seeds can be a challenge. That's why we are delighted to bring you Tornado, a formula mix of bold bicolors as well as solids. A trusted name in Pelargonium peltatum, this mix will produce gorgeous trailing plants that bloom all summer in sunny baskets, window boxes, and tall planters.
Tornado Mix contains 4 colors: red, white, lilac, and rose. All except the red have bold markings, adding depth to their presentation. Individual blooms are just 2 inches or so across, but Tornado Mix holds its flowers in large, loose clusters of anywhere from 2 to 9. The result is a big show of color.
The foliage of this geranium is a treat as well. Bright green and slightly succulent in texture, it holds its shape well, even in high heat and humidity. Formed like English ivy leaves, the foliage is bold and pretty, complementing the flowers perfectly. Let Tornado spill over the sides of containers.
Tornado begins blooming just about 3½ months from germinating, and continues all summer. In warm areas, it will go right into fall. Easy to care for, Tornado asks only for sunshine and adequate water and food. Bring it indoors before first frost, keep it in a bright window, and it may continue to flower as a houseplant. Enjoy this glorious ivy-leaf for pennies a plant.
