All-America Selections (AAS) Winner 2019

Clancy has outstanding texture and flavor, with red to rose blush skin tones and a creamy white and yellow interior. This round to oblong shaped spud is a top potato choice for mashing or boiling.

Clancy is the first potato grown from seed to be an AAS winner. There are numerous benefits of growing this delicious potato from seed, including having a sterile seed that reduces the potential for introducing disease to the garden, as well as easier storage and longer shelf life than potato tubers. This potato is also suitable for containers.

This seed comes as a "pellet". "Pelleted" seeds are small seeds that have been clay-coated to make them larger and more uniform in size and shape, making them easier to handle when planting.

Good germination

This shopper rated the product 4 out of 5 stars

Have been impressed by the high rate of germination of the Clancy potato seeds that I began for the first time this year . So far it looks like better than 85% of the seeds have become nice little plants using Jiffy starter pellets. This makes these potatoes less expensive to grow than had I bought whole potatoes for the garden, plus no danger of any chance of disease using real seeds vs potato pieces.
