Description

Stalks reach 7 feet tall.

8-inch ears boast 18 rows of sweet flavor!

75 days. With better after-harvest staying power than most corn, Bodacious offers huge yields that you needn't rush to eat all at once! The tender 8-inch ears -- nearly 2 inches across -- are filled with about 18 rows of bright yellow kernels, all bursting with sweet flavor. Strong stalks reach 7 feet tall.

Sugar-enhanced corn is creamier and more tender than Super Sweet, with stronger old-fashioned corn flavor, yet is sweeter than regular Sweet hybrids. This delicious variety retains its sweetness for up to 10 days after harvest. No isolation from other corn is necessary, and germination is easier than with Super Sweets.

Sow after last spring frost, when the soil is warm. Corn is famously easy to direct-sow in any sunny spot. To extend your corn harvest, make successive plantings weekly up to mid-July, or plant varieties with differing maturity dates. Pkt is 200 seeds.

Super sweet, super producer

This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

I first tasted this corn 25 years ago while living in Oregon. I asked the grower the name and have been planting it ever since. In Montana we don't have a long growing season, yet this corn has done amazingly well. In the 2017 and 2018 seasons, my plants were 8 ft. tall and many produced 2 ears. Wonderful!

Tall stalks great germination

I grew this breed this year because I prefer a yellow corn. It takes its time the last few weeks coming to maturity. I wait a 1-2 week s after it "looks ready"

High Quality SE Variety

This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

I planted Bodacious for the first time this year, sprouting the seeds indoors with the wet paper towel method, then planting the sprouts on March 17, with harvesting the majority on June 2nd. It grows with 7 foot tall vigorous stalks with many stalks producing two good ears. The taste is sweet and superb for the SE type corn lover, as I am one of these. I highly recommend this variety to anyone.
