best green bean

This is the third year I've grown Cobra beans. I would not waste my time or the space on any other. Unfortunately this year groundhogs, despite my fence, discovered them and I will be having very few beans this summer. The plants continued to try to produce, still find regrowth. The twenty or so beans we had were delicious as expected.

Best beans ever!

I have grown Cobra beans for years, so happy Park had them after my local source didn't get them anymore. Zone 5, produces for months. Freeze beautifully, taste great fresh. Will never grow any other variety

My new standard...no more Blue Lakes
Jim from OR wrote on May 30, 2018

I grew these in 2017 and found that they meet all of my requirements. o-they taste great but not the traditional green bean flavor found in Blue Lake o-they can wait on the vine four to five days before being picked and are still tender and flavorful unlike Blue Lake which becomes hollow and pithy. o- Highly productive o- and my main thing is that they hold up to pressure canning. I get no difference in texture or flavor between Cobra and Blue Lake. we're still eating last beans canned in 2017 and they're delicious...low sodium and a chuck of ham in the jar.

Best pole bean around!

I had grown these for a couple of years and loved them. When my local source was no longer available I was very happy to find them at Park. They crop early and go for months. I still pick every day and it's the middle of October. Beautiful long fleshy beans.
