Description

Blooms reach 10 inches across

If the birds gave awards to their favorite garden plants, Giganteus Sunflower would be the wings-down winner.

No sunflower is more generous with the seeds than Giganteus Sunflower—each 10-inch bloom contains a dinner-plate-sized central disk just stuffed with richness. The bright yellow petals, arranged in a tight circle around the center, are brilliantly colored and very cheery, bringing in the butterflies.

Giganteus Sunflower is the sunflower that wins competitions, and its 10-inch blooms are absolutely staggering, especially when the 6- to 8-foot-tall plants appear in a long row against an outbuilding or other structure. The essence of summer in the country, Giganteus Sunflower is an oversized, generous joy for birds and humans alike.

Sunflowers are the kings of the natural sunny summer garden, attracting butterflies and birds. They're wonderfully easy to grow—just direct sow the large seeds after all danger of frost. Not picky about soil type, they need direct sun. Thin Giganteus Sunflower plants to 2 to 4 feet apart so that they can show off their foliage a bit as they grow.

Just what they advertised

This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

ALL plants were at least 10 foot and flowers were 12 inches. Some flowers were even a little bigger.

Sprouted quickly, immediately eaten.

Planted these near my house in late spring/early summer (2018). They sprouted quite quickly and did well for several days in direct sun, and dry soil. Soon after they were picked over by critters and destroyed, despite protection (groundhogs and chipmunks).

Giganteus Sunflowers

This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

These sunflowers are the best and most beautiful I have seen in a long time. I purchased 1 pack and shared with friends and our community garden, and everyone has had great success with these seeds. We will be purchasing more next year.
