Organic + Heirloom

Vegetables, herbs, mushrooms, flowers, and more

Heirloom refers to the heritage or genetics of a plant. Heirloom varieties have a long heritage and have been passed down through the generations. They are considered garden treasures for their exceptional qualities and admirable performance in home gardens. Open pollinated and naturally non-GMO, the seeds you collect from heirloom plants grow true to type and exhibit the same desirable qualities our ancestors sought to preserve.

Organic refers to growing practices or farming methods used to produce the seeds. Organic seeds have been grown by a certified organic operation in accordance with the standards set by the USDA National Organic Program. They have been grown in certified organic soil using only fertilizer and pest controls allowed by organic regulations.

Park Seed carries a large selection of heirloom and organic seeds. Our seeds are always non-GMO and exceed industry germination standards. We store our seeds in a humidity- and temperature-controlled environment and never treat any of our seeds with chemicals or pesticides. And we package our seed with extreme care. Many seeds are shipped in our exclusive Fresh-Pak gold foil packets to keep seeds fresh by keeping moisture out. Some small seeds are offered as clay-coated "pellets" to make sowing and growing easier. And very tiny or fragile seeds are placed in crush-proof vials to ensure they arrive perfectly intact.
