Merry stripes on the perfect bedding annual

Here it is, the bedding zinnia of our dreams (Double Zahara™ Raspberry Ripple Zinnia). The Zahara® series introduced in 2009 immediately became famous for its resistance to mildew and leaf spot, its nonstop blooms, and its larger flower size. Now we're delighted to announce a double-flowered pink variety that sports a dark pink stripe and lighter pink edges on every single petal. Double Zahara™ Raspberry Ripple Zinnia is just waiting to transform your sunny garden into a sea of merry candy tones.

These blooms are fully 2½ inches wide, and there's more of them—they pop up all over super-compact plants, drawing bees and butterflies into the garden and absolutely wowing those hot, dry beds and water-starved containers. Double Zahara™ Raspberry Ripple Zinnias are not really grown for cut flowers, but you'll find yourself picking plenty for bouquets . . . and why not? New flowers will open to replace them double-quick.

Renowned for its ability to withstand heat, humidity, drought, and just about anything else, the Zahara® series is the first bedding zinnia that can truly claim to be disease-resistant. Mildew is a traditional enemy of the zinnia, but Zahara® got it licked. (Or should we say "dried".) Luckily, Double Zahara™ Raspberry Ripple Zinnias are also very long-blooming, prepared to continue well into autumn as long as the hot weather holds. What a joy.

This Double Zahara™ Raspberry Ripple Zinnia is the annual you'll want along that baking-hot driveway or cement path, crowding against the house (the walls reflect heat), and beautifying the patio (which never gets watered often enough). Just 16 to 20 inches high and wide, it can be planted a bit more closely than other bedding zinnias, again thanks to the mildew resistance. No need to worry about the foliage "touching".

Direct sow Double Zahara™ Raspberry Ripple Zinnia Seeds. When the soil has already warmed and spring is well underway, this plant will flower within 9 to 10 weeks of sowing. But if you want to get an earlier start, or if that hot April turns into a chilly May, no fear—Double Zahara™ Raspberry Ripple Zinnia will grow vigorously all the same, and simply wait for the warm weather before blooming. Why can't all plants be this cooperative.

This zinnia is a flower like none I have ever seen before! It truly is pink and white striped and looks just like it is shown on the website. What the photo doesn't show is the beauty of it in real life! Exquisite! I want this in my garden every single year, just to look at and be in awe of God's💛creation!

I bought Zahara Raspberry Ripple Zinnia in a nursery. It is the most incredible annual I have ever had. I plan on buying seeds for this plant from Parkseed this coming year. I was so happy to see they sell it.

These are one of the best zinnias for beds. The flowers stand up to heat and they look fresh for such a long time. No mildew either. They are a nice, full mound.

Stands Up to Torrential Rains

I really appreciate Park's candid descriptions. In the catalog, it said "resistant to mildew....great in humid and rainy climates." The photo was so dazzling, I decided to give it a try. Germinated in about 2 days! All the plants are withstanding days on end of Florida rainstorms. Probably will be blooming in another week. I can't wait to see the actual flowers. So far, green as can be and no mildew. These little plants are incredibly strong!
