All-America Selections (AAS) Winner 2013

Fleuroselect Award winner 2014

Can the Profusions really have done it again? Is there no end to their power. Double Hot Cherry (and its sister Double Deep Salmon) have just won All-America Selection Awards, joining their illustrious family members. One look at this plant is all you'll need to show you how far Profusion has come. The flowers are bigger, the plant more spreading in habit, and the super-dazzling color is fade-proof. Wow!

When we grew the first Zinnia Profusions in our trial gardens here at Park, the "oohs" and "aahs" were deafening. And no wonder—Profusion cherry (and its sunny sister, orange) won the AAS Gold Medal Flower Award—the first flowers to receive this prestigious award in a decade. And then both cherry and white walked off with Europe's Fleuroselect Gold as well. And now the double-flowered varieties are claiming their prizes, with better-than-ever disease resistance, adaptability, and self-cleaning ease of care.

These bushy plants, 14 to 18 inches high and 20 to 24 inches wide, are simply smothered nonstop all season with cheerful, 2-inch daisy-formed blooms. The petals are a magenta-rich rosy red, and they arise in many layers. This landscaping series is designed for large plantings—unlike the cut flower or bedding varieties, Profusion is a dense, bushy, many-flowered little plant that covers ground and fills the garden with color into the bargain.

Profusion is highly tolerant of mildew and other foliage diseases, and laughs at heat, humidity, and drought. We are proud to give Profusion our highest recommendation for garden-worthiness.

Zinnias are one of the easiest annuals to grow, and attract butterflies to the garden. They are the perfect cut flower—the more you cut, the more you get. They thrive in the sun and heat of summer, and ask only for well-drained soil. Space the plants generously to prevent overcrowding. When cutting the blooms for the vase, trim off all the foliage; unlike the blooms, it does not age well. Direct sow or start ahead indoors.

hearty and lovely

This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

These little guys are easy to grow, adaptable to containers as well as the garden, last and last. I do find the colors vary slightly from seed to seed from intense red to a more purplish or burgundy color, but all are lovely and easy.

Great Color

I'm not generally a fan of double flowers but the hot cherry double and the double yellow I paired with it in my patio planters was splendid. Bloomed through October and never quit.

Must Have!

This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

There are now on my Must Have List! Excellent seed germination, nice mounded form, and THE FLOWERS DON'T FADE. I didn't believe it, but they actually don't fade like the other profusion plants.

Profusion Double Hot Cherry Zinnias

This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

These were just gorgeous! I planted them with the Profusion Double Yellow Zinnias and they were spectacular. They were large healthy plants which grew uniform in height. They grew in spite of the hot weather and little rain. I would definitely recommend these seeds.

Excellent Flower

This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

Zinnia profusion has bloomed nonstop in the summer heat of Mississippi. It is always in bloom and the flowers do not fade in the sun. It has a good germination rate also. I will be buying more of these seeds next spring.
